Chemical reactions utilizing short-lived active species, starting with organometallic compounds, are often conducted at low temperatures below 0°C to improve reaction selectivity and increase the yield of target products. Typically, low-temperature environments are created using dry ice/acetone, dry ice/methanol, or liquid nitrogen, but accurately controlling the temperature can be quite challenging. The "UC Reactor" allows for precise temperature control in the range of -100°C to +50°C, with programmable control of the temperature profile. The "UC Reactor/UCR-150N" is a highly precise temperature control device (ultra-low temperature freezer, ultra-low temperature cooler) that does not require refrigerants such as liquid nitrogen or dry ice. It can be used for continuous experiments lasting several days, and the freezer unit requires no maintenance. With a maximum power consumption of 200W and a steady state of 100W, it features an environmentally friendly design (non-Freon) using helium as the internal refrigerant.
